Looking for a new sushi bar to check out? Look no further than this new arrival. Called Wa Sushi & Ramen, the new arrival is located at 9160 E. Stockton Blvd., Suite 130.

Although the menu hews closely to classic Japanese dishes like tonkotsu ramen, customizable bento boxes or selections of sashimi and nigiri, it also offers a few more unusual choices, like a pork katsu burger and a pork belly donburi.

Diners can also expect to find house specialty rolls like the Sunshine: a filling of tempura shrimp, spicy tuna, apple, and lemon, topped with fried leeks, escolar and avocado.

The Japanese eatery has gotten off to a decent start thus far, with a 3.5-star rating out of eight reviews on Yelp.

"The pork belly donburi was a winner.  With small slices of jalapenos, onion,  broccoli, and zucchini, it was flavored perfectly, and I could not get over this,  but the pork was really like butter!" said Ron O., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 1.

But Yelper Lisa C. added, “Service was good; however, since it is new, [they] need training on how to serve individuals and not pass along the table. Food is good and will get better. We will definitely be back to try more dishes.”

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Wa Sushi & Ramen is open from 11:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.–9 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.–9:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 4 p.m.–9 p.m. on Sunday.
