A new spot to score burgers, pizza and sandwiches has debuted in the neighborhood. The fresh arrival to Fell's Point, called Red Star Restaurant, is located at 906 S. Wolfe St.
Start with the crab dip appetizer made with lump crab meat, cream cheese, scallions, horseradish and Old Bay, served with grilled pita and celery sticks. Standout menu options include the Mediterranean vegetable pizza, Maryland-style crab cakes and havarti burger with crispy prosciutto. Salads, wraps and desserts like the flourless chocolate cake round out the menu.
The restaurant has just two reviews on Yelp thus far.
Sharmane G. wrote, "Apparently all the furniture is made from repurposed materials (wood and cast iron). Pleasantly surprised by the courteous staff so far. Our waiter was very helpful, nice and approachable! I loved the ambiance in general, high ceilings, lots of natural light via tall windows, adequate space for seating, minimal-meets-rustic look and the theme is like a refined American dive bar."
