Dessert fans, take heed: there's a new spot in town to get your fix. The new addition to the Southwest Waterfront, called Southwest Soda Pop Shop, is located at 1142 Maine Ave. SW.
The family-owned shop at the Wharf serves up ice cream cones, sundaes, ice cream sandwiches, shakes, floats and other frozen treats.
With a five-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp so far, Southwest Soda Pop Shop has been warmly received by patrons.
Yelper Max C., who reviewed it on June 6, said, “It's at the Wharf, which is perfect because who doesn't want to have ice cream and other goodies in the sun by the water? You can probably get quite experimental with the toppings and flavors, but I tried one of their signatures and it was the bomb!"
And Kia D. added, "They offer swirls in combos of choco/vanilla and strawberry/mango. I tried the soft serve also and it's great — nice, creamy and thick! I usually only like custard swirls, but this satisfied my sweet tooth."
Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. Southwest Soda Pop Shop is open from noon–9 p.m. on Monday-Thursday, noon–10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and noon–8 p.m. on Sunday.
