New to 1508 S. Mint St., Unit B, in South End is Bardo, a spot to score small plates and sip sake. The current spring/summer menu includes dishes like beef tartare with egg yolk jam, mushroom, radishes and togarashi, or lamb belly with carrot, mustard, cocoa nibs and rhubarb. For something sweet, check out the carrot cake, made with ginger, cream cheese and opal basil.

Cocktails include the South Mint, composed of gin, lemongrass, lemon, sparkling wine and mint, and the Putting Down Roots, with rum, mezcal, yellow beets, carrots, ginger, dill and lime. Bardo also offers an extensive list of wines, sake, beer and more.

2. Superica

Look for specialty smoothies, such as The Slushie One (coconut water, honey, orange and strawberries) and The Intense One (apple, avocado, coconut water, ginger, kale, lemon, spinach and spirulina).

Want a salad? The Mediterranean features all-natural grilled chicken breast, artichoke hearts, chickpeas, roasted red peppers, crisp cucumbers, diced red onion, tomatoes, crumbled feta cheese and Italian seasoning on a bed of fresh romaine, iceberg lettuce and spinach.
