A new cocktail and wine bar has made its debut in the neighborhood. Called The Belmont, the new addition is located at 518 E. Pike St. in Capitol Hill.

Formerly known as Revolution Wine, this bar has been rebirthed with a "British colonial" look, featuring rattan canopy chairs, crushed velvet parlor lamps and a collection of Toulouse-Lautrec sketches.

On the menu, customers will find Revolution's popular frosé and a new selection of cocktails, featuring both old-school and new-school creations. A global wine selection emphasizes bargain offerings from Washington, Oregon, France, Italy and Spain, while the food menu offers small bites like Tuscan meatballs, deviled eggs and cheese platters.

The new addition has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a five-star rating out of two reviews on Yelp.

Zad K., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 21, wrote, "Great ambiance! I remember coming here last summer and having this spectacular drink called frosé, which is by far the best drink in Seattle. They have revamped the place since then and I have come here for the last two consecutive days. Because it doesn't get better than this."

Yelper Christin A. added, “Mark and Carmen have done it again! Killer cocktails, vibe, friendly service ... with an edge. Love the new decor and extra seating, updated and fresh food selections, live music and whimsical cocktails."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: The Belmont is open from 5 p.m.–10 p.m. on Tuesday-Thursday and 5 p.m.–midnight on Friday and Saturday. (It's closed on Monday and Sunday.)
