Fans of frozen desserts, take heed: there's a new spot in town to get your fix. Located at 1206 S. York St., the fresh addition is called Xcite's Sweet Connections.
A sister company of Xcite Mobile Gaming, the new shop offers a diverse selection of sweet treats, including Taiwanese shaved snow cream in vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, matcha green tea, mango and taro flavors.
Other menu items include Italian artisan gelato, with flavors like Mackinac Island fudge, French vanilla, sea salt caramel, chocolate chip cookie dough and more. Craving something fruity? Try the blood orange, watermelon, Key lime or mango sorbets.
With a five-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp so far, Xcite's Sweet Connections is on its way to developing a local fan base.
John B., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 22, wrote, "The Thai ice cream rolls are thin scrapings of ice cream that have a nice consistency and are a fun change from scoops. They have a variety of flavors with my current favorite being the Sneaky Snickers."
Yelper Tara M. added, “I am a huge fan of this place. I've had the opportunity to try several different flavors of the ice cream rolls and I've enjoyed all of them.”
