Art of the Americas: Collection of the Art Museum of the Americas of the Organization of American States

The new exhibit gives "a special place to abstract practices developed in Latin America after World War II," according to the organizers, "especially 'gestural, lyrical, calligraphic, and informalist.'”

Yoga in the Fun House at the National Building Museum

The NBM is offering a yoga class this Sunday inside of its current central exhibit — a massive "fun house" that reimagines concepts from a traditional home. Bring your own mat. Included with purchase: a pass to the museum that's good through September 3rd.

Discounts at the National Museum of Civil War Medicine

If you're looking to catch up on your U.S. history, there's currently a discount running for admission to this small but popular museum — for either two or four people, and including a 10 percent discount to the gift shop. The museum includes an "authentic Civil War surgeon’s tent, a 19th century holding coffin, and dioramas detailing medical evacuations," as organizers note.

When: The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.
