A new Hawaiian spot, offering poke and more, has opened up shop in the neighborhood. The new addition to the Capitol Hill area, called Aloha Pokē Co., is located at 50 Massachusetts Ave. NE.
The Chicago-based chain offers pre-made bowls that feature spicy, crunchy or Hawaiian-themed items, or you can make your own.
With a 2.5-star rating out of seven reviews on Yelp so far, Aloha Pokē Co. has received mixed feedback—but it's still early days.
Emily M., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 18, wrote, "Decent flavors, with large chunks of fish (which is awesome), though less fish in the bowl than I'd like. Got a little (which is really little) with ahi tuna. Fish was great, but pineapple was not...."
