Gravitas

Gravitas is a New American restaurant that's focused on vegetables (even though you can find all manner of proteins on the menu). Sourced from local suppliers in the region, the high-end tasting menu-focused restaurant is currently going over well, with 4.5 stars out of 10 reviews.

Yelper Clarence W. wrote on July 10 that "For the food, this was one of the more novel tasting menu concepts that I've experienced. Normally you're constrained to one or two dishes across select categories of the menu. In this case, while the menu was broken out among categories of smaller bites to more substantial plates, we were allowed to pick 4 items from any of the categories (i.e. you can order all from the larger plate section if you want), while reserving our fifth item for dessert.

Gravitas is open from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday, but is closed on Sunday.

The Eleanor DC calls itself a "bowling lounge," which means a full bar and an expansive casual dining menu, and also a bowling alley, classic arcade games, and more.

Yelp users are excited about The Eleanor DC, which currently holds 4.5 stars out of eight reviews on the site.

Yelper Arin S., who reviewed The Eleanor DC on June 25, wrote, "FINALLY something is in this space! We have waited so long for this. There are two duck pin bowling lanes and a variety of arcade games (pac man, mortal kombat, basketball, skee Ball, and more."

Yelper Alex S. wrote, "A great new addition to NoMa! Arcade games, duck bowling, apps, whole dishes, beers and cocktails — can't go wrong! Happy hour from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on drinks and apps (though the happy hour drinks were pretty weak)."

The Eleanor DC is open from 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday, and from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

City Winery is a combination restaurant, wine bar and entertainment venue that's been expanding from its original location in New York City to other major metros across the country. Like the other locations, the DC operation is also making its own wine.

With four stars out of 21 reviews on Yelp, it's off to a solid start.

Yelper Austin G., who was one of the first users to visit City Winery on June 28, wrote, "City Winery is an interesting concept for Washington, D.C. trying to marry DC's old with the new."

Yelper Brittany E. wrote, "We ordered the 'flatbread' (really more like a pizza) and some wine. The flatbread was delish, and I enjoyed my Malbec as well. I'll be interested in coming back to see how things progress."

City Winery is open from 5 p.m.–midnight daily.
