Amazon has opened a new bookstore at 7117 Arlington Road in Bethesda Row, as part of its ongoing push from online to offline. The Amazon Books location provides discounts to Prime members an doesn't take cash.
With a 4-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp so far, it's going over pretty well.
Eddie K., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 30, wrote, "It's great Amazon decided to open a bookstore in Bethesda. It's a small bookstore, so don't expect it to be like the Barnes and Noble that was in Bethesda. I didn't see any coffee shop attached."
Yelper Victoria H. added, “I love this store. Books are organized by data from Amazon.com — for example, top-selling books in specific categories — and contain review and rating info.”
Head on over to check it out: Amazon Books is open from 10 a.m.–9 p.m. on Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m.–10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m.–7 p.m. on Sunday.
