A new Mediterranean spot has debuted in the neighborhood. Now a national chain, Cava's newest location in the DC area is located at 1201 Wilson Blvd., Suite 211 in North Rosslyn.
For those who aren't familiar, Cava is a booming fast-casual spinoff of Cava Mezze, a small group of Greek restaurants founded in Rockville in 2006.
Like the dozens of other locations around the country, the North Rosslyn location lets you build your own bowl or pita wrap. The menu offers a selection of base layers, including salad and grains, followed by dips and spreads like hummus, tzatziki or harissa. Then you select a protein, including falafel, meatballs or roasted vegetables. To all this you then add toppings such as pickled onions, cabbage slaw, crumbled feta or kalamata olives.
The fresh addition has already attracted fans thus far, with a five-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.
Samiksha M., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 7, wrote, "Finally!! Cava right next to my apartment!! I have been waiting for this to open since ages. I tried the new spicy apricot sauce which is absolutely amazing! It's a must-try for sure."
Yelper Jasmine L. added, “Lovely location for a new Cava, right outside the Rosslyn metro station. The staff is friendly and the food is great as always.”
Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Cava is open from 10:45 a.m.–10 p.m. daily.
