Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top diners in Cleveland, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of where to find breakfast, lunch and homestyle favorites.
1. George's Kitchen

Topping the list is George's Kitchen on the city's west side. Located at 13101 Triskett Road, the casual homestyle eatery, which offers comfort food and more, is the highest rated diner in Cleveland, boasting 4.5 stars out of 187 reviews on Yelp.
The menu features three-egg omelets filled with sausage, bacon, corned beef hash and cheese; two- or three-egg breakfast plates with options like sliced gyros, country fried steak and smoked sausage; and sides like home fries, sausage links, pita bread and biscuits.
2. Mike & Dee's Diner

Next up is downtown's Mike & Dee's Diner, situated at 629 Euclid Ave., Suite 102. With 4.5 stars out of 50 reviews on Yelp, the diner has proven to be a local favorite.
This local eatery offers breakfast and lunch plus special event catering. Look for menu items like buttermilk pancakes, French toast, eggs any style, omelets, and fresh fruit and yogurt for breakfast; and classic lunch fare like a selection of burgers, patty melts, quesadillas, hot sandwiches, fries, onion rings and mashed potatoes and gravy.
3. Steve's Family Restaurant

Old Brooklyn's Steve's Family Restaurant, located at 4457 Broadview Road, is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the classic breakfast and brunch spot 4.5 stars out of 32 reviews.
"This is my kind of diner," Yelper Jason L. said. "We found this place for a big breakfast before heading to the zoo for the day. Nothing fancy inside, but that's not the goal. The food was tasty and greasy with all of your standard diner breakfast fare. The prices were extremely reasonable, the grits were tasty and buttery, the bacon was crispy and the pancakes were yummy."
4. Doc And Lennies

Over in Fairfax, check out Doc And Lennies, which has earned 4.5 stars out of 24 reviews on Yelp. You can find the diner and soul food eatery at 8933 Cedar Ave.
This joint features daily specials like tilapia or catfish sandwiches served with fries on Tuesdays, footlong beef Polish boys on Wednesdays, and all the fish you can eat on Fridays. Everyday fare includes homestyle dinners like Southern deep-fried perch with fries and coleslaw, Western-style barbecued ribs, three-cheese lasagna and thick-cut grilled meatloaf.
5. The City Diner

Finally, there's The City Diner, an Old Brooklyn favorite with four stars out of 43 reviews. Stop by 5109 Memphis Ave. to hit up the traditional American and breakfast and brunch spot next time the urge strikes.
This local diner features sizzling iron skillets full of eggs, potatoes, corned beef hash, sausage, bacon veggies and cheese; Belgian waffles with fresh strawberries and whipped cream; and a selection of omelets for breakfast. Later in the day, look for an assortment of burgers and sandwiches; roasted chicken pot pie; baked macaroni and cheese; and Yankee pot roast with Yorkshire pudding, roasted garlic mashed potatoes and herb gravy.
