Campus Cafe - Turkish Grill

Campus Cafe - Turkish Grill recently made its debut near the University of Minnesota's West Bank campus. Mapps Coffee and Tea closed up shop at 1810 Riverside Ave. last year and has now reopened as a Turkish cafe in an expanded space, per Minnesota Daily.
Offering modern Turkish cuisine, the eatery serves made-from-scratch fare and a selection of marinated beef, lamb, chicken and fish. Menu options include hummus and falafel as starters; lamb, beef and chicken shish kebabs for lunch; and entrees like the Doner: seasoned beef or chicken cooked on a rotisserie and served with rice pilaf. Check out the full menu here.
Sushi Train

Sushi Train is a conveyor belt sushi spot that recently opened its doors at 1200 Nicollet Ave., Suite C3 in Loring Park. This new offering is the first of its kind in the Twin Cities area, per Eater, and is modeled after a subway station with bright colors inside.
Plates of sushi appear on a conveyor belt and pass the paying patrons sitting in their booths. The setup is a la carte style. Plates run anywhere from $1.50 to $5.50 and diners are charged accordingly. Made-to-order food bowls are also available via Sushi Train's menu. Expect menu options like poke bowls, classic rolls, ramen dishes and more.
Hot Indian

Fast-casual eatery Hot Indian continues its expansion in the Minneapolis area. In addition to its food truck, this new brick-and-mortar spot is the small chain's fourth location. The new offering is at 121 S. Eighth St. downtown.
The restaurant offers customizable Indian food. Choose between a large burrito, three tacos or a bowl with rice or greens. Next, select a protein from options such as chicken tikka masala, lamb, pork vindaloo, vegetarian gobi or vegetarian channa. Finally, add in some slaw or chutney to complete the dish. The menu can be seen here.
