Dahlak

Stop by 129 S. Broadway in Upper Fells Point and you'll find Dahlak, in the space formerly occupied by the Arcos Mexican restaurant.
Dahlak is a group of islands off the coast of Eritrea, but there's enough cross-over between the regional cuisines that the menu will be familiar to devotees of Ethiopian food. You'll find marinated lamb or beef tibs, for example, along with raw beef kitfo and wot, a spicy stew. There are also a number of Italian items, like fettuccine Alfredo, seafood rigatoni and tiramisu.
Seating is inside or on the large patio.
Vida Taco Bar

Stop by 1401 Point St. in Fells Point and you'll find Vida Taco Bar. It's the restaurant group's third location, replicating the classic and creative fare that can be found at the Annapolis and Severna Park outposts.
There are traditional tacos, like chorizo, carne asada and fried fish. More modern incarnations include marinated mushroom and grilled asparagus, fried avocado, and Thai basil shrimp. Tacos come wrapped in flour or corn tortillas or in bibb lettuce. Round out your meal with shareable plates of ceviche, nachos or guacamole.
The drink menu has a long list of sipping tequilas as well as cocktails like The Vida margarita, with silver tequila, mojito lime, Valencia orange, organic agave and sugar cane.
Button

A Canton newcomer, Button, is a New American spot that's located at 2723 Lighthouse Point East.
Diners have views of the Patapsco River from inside or on the outdoor patio. The menu features seafood, like calamari with rémoulade, grilled octopus tacos with corn tortillas, and fried shrimp with grits and lobster reduction. There's also a selection of wood-fired Neapolitan-style pizzas.
Consider one of the signature cocktails, like the Ruby Red, made from Amsterdam grapefruit vodka, pomegranate liqueur and grapefruit juice.
Tandav Indian Cuisine

Then there's Upper Fells Point newcomer Tandav Indian Cuisine, an Indian and halal spot that's located at 1725 E. Lombard St. With five stars out of six reviews on Yelp, it's off to a strong start.
It offers a lunch buffet every day from 11:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. To access the full list of authentic Indian dishes, order from the extensive menu of tandoori specialties, kormas, curries, biryanis and tikka masalas. Vegetarians will feel at home at Tandav Indian Cuisine, with meatless dishes such as potatoes and fenugreek cooked with onions and spices, and vegetable and cottage cheese dumplings simmered in a gravy of onions, tomatoes, garlic and herbs.
