Energia Co.

Energia Co. is serving up fresh-pressed juices, smoothies, coffee, paninis, açaí bowls and more.

Notable menu items include the El Nutritivo smoothie (coconut milk, Vega protein, spirulina, apple juice, pineapple, banana and kale), the Mediterranean panini (tomillo seeds, tomatoes, mozzarella and avocado), the Forever Goji açaí bowl and its signature Energia Balls (made of walnuts, coconut flakes, dates, coconut oil, Himalayan salt and vanilla). The new eatery, located in the Waverly condominium complex, only has one Yelp review so far, which gives it five stars.

Yelper S R., who reviewed it on May 26, said, "This is my go-to place! I've been to plenty of juice places, but this one has the quickest service and everything is made fresh. I go religiously for the oats on the go. Highly recommend the Nutritivo smoothie and Mediterranean paninis."

Taj Mahal Bengal Indian Cuisine

Taj Mahal Bengal Indian Cuisine features appetizers, soups, salads, desserts and entrees for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike.

Among the dishes on its menu, look for Kadhai Chicken with bell peppers, tomatoes, onion gravy and Indian spices; lamb vindaloo, beef korma (boneless beef in a creamy sauce with almond and cashew paste, fruits and Indian spices) or the goat curry. (See its full menu here.)

Bengali specialties are also on offer, such as the rohu dopiaza made with fish, spices and curry.

The new restaurant appears to be popular, with a 4.5-star rating on Yelp out of 14 reviews so far.

Yelper Amanda A., who was among the first to review it on June 14, wrote, "This place has the most delicious food. It is so hard to find good Indian food, and this place is on the beach so it is super fun to visit. I loved the garlic naan bread and the food wasn't overly spicy. Great portions too."

Becky C. added, "The food was delicious! The sauce on the chicken tikka masala was delicious; lots of flavor and very tender! The cheese naan was delicious and fresh right out of the oven, not greasy at all!"

Pink Teacup Villa

Pink Teacup Villa is a modern soul food restaurant and cocktail bar. Its sister restaurant, Pink Teacup Brooklyn, is in New York.

Owned by chef Lawrence Page, star of the television program "Hustle & Soul" on WE TV, the restaurant serves upscale takes on traditional soul food dishes, like chicken and waffles, fried catfish, candied yams and fried chicken. You can also expect to find dishes like Kobe beef burgers and seafood paella.

Pink Teacup Villa has gotten good reviews thus far, with a four-star rating out of 12 reviews on Yelp.

Danielle V. wrote, "I had the pork chops and mac and cheese; definitely try the mac and cheese, it was amazing. My boyfriend had the burger and bourbon wings that were great as well. It's a nice place, a little pricey, but I expected that due to the location. I'd definitely come back with family."

Yelper Samina M. added, "Everyone we encountered had great attitudes and were more than happy to take care of us! Our waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and even made some recommendations for us. Our food came hot, fresh and need I say really good!"

Carrot Express is a health food spot, offering juices, smoothies, salads, pitas, wraps, poke bowls and açaí bowls with plenty of vegetarian options. This is the local Miami chain's fourth location.

On the menu, expect dishes like the La Bomba sandwich (falafel, quinoa, roasted eggplant, hummus, arugula, spinach and tomato on whole wheat), the Pesto Chicken platter and the salmon poke bowl (brown rice quinoa, tuna, seaweed salad, edamame, arugula, scallions, avocado, carrots, pickled ginger, cucumber and more). Happy Place Donuts is a boutique dessert shop where you can get doughnuts, gelato, ice cream, coffee and house-made pop tarts.

The menu includes treats like the Black & White Boston Cream doughnuts, the Berry Brainy Blizzard (vanilla ice cream, almond milk, strawberries and blueberries) and the Monkey Bread doughnut (brioche doughnut tossed in cinnamon sugar, then glazed with a coffee caramel and sea salt cream cheese frosting). With a four star rating on Yelp out of 14 reviews so far, the new dessert spot is off to a strong start.

Yelper Valentina M., who reviewed it on June 30, said, "Very cool interesting flavors and crazy extensive menu. Perfect for those who love sweets and do not care about the amount of sugar they consume."

Dom T. added, "Awesome service! The staff was so nice and friendly. Offered us a free beignet each and a glass of water for free. Heated up our monkey bread and brought it to us. Also tried the marshmallow doughnut, Key lime, monkey bread and weekly flavor of Lucky Charms. All awesome!"
