A new upscale smokehouse and New American spot has opened its doors in CityCentre. Called International Smoke, the fresh arrival is located at 800 Sorella Court, Suite 940, in the Memorial City district.

On the menu, you'll see dishes like the Vietnamese pork chop (with glass noodles, lemongrass sausage and clams), the smoked Korean short rib (with sticky rice, kimchi, scallions and sesame) and the smoked pork ribs served one of three styles — American barbecue, al pastor or sesame-gochujang.

The new smokehouse has received mixed reviews thus far, with a three-star rating out of 12 reviews on Yelp. This rating seems to be due, in part at least, to the fact that the Golden State Warriors beat the Houston Rockets in the Western Conference Finals back in May, according to Houstonia. Briefly, the connection is that the concept behind International Smoke owes itself to Ayesha Curry, who is the wife of Warriors star Stephen Curry.

Nicole C., who reviewed it on July 11, wrote, "We tried it on a whim and I am so glad we did. The duck wing appetizer was delicious. The ribs were absolutely amazing. The service was great and our waitress was very helpful in helping us to navigate the menu."

Yelper Mike K. noted, "It was good — food was good, service was good and the drinks were good. All in all it was just OK, but overpriced."

International Smoke is open 11:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. and 5–9:30 p.m. Monday–Thursday, 11:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. and 5–10 p.m. Friday, 5–10 p.m. Saturday and 5–9:30 p.m. Sunday.
