A new Mexican restaurant has debuted in the neighborhood. Located at 400 N. Federal Blvd., where El Taco Veloz was in west Denver, the fresh addition is called Taqueria Pancho Villa.
It all starts at breakfast, with chilaquiles and huevos rancheros. Then it's tacos, tostadas and enchiladas with rice and beans, or entrees like chile relleno or steak with tomato, onion and jalapeño. Cover it all with salsas from the salsa bar.
With a 4.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, the new arrival has been warmly received by patrons.
Rachel R. wrote, "Finishing up my leftovers from the best smothered burrito I have ever had in Denver. My friends all got tacos and all felt the same about theirs. Pancho's also has an incredible salsa bar, with about six different salsas and sauces. Food is fresh and delicious."
And Cyndi G. noted, "Excellent authentic Mexican dishes. Maria had me at chile relleno. Especially when she confirmed that it was stuffed with Muenster cheese. That's exactly how my mom (and my entire family in Mexico) makes them!"
Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Taqueria Pancho Villa is open from 8 a.m.–10 p.m. daily.
