A modern Mexican cantina has opened its doors in Rock Hill. Called Los Cantaritos, the new addition is located at 1415 Riverchase Blvd.
According to its website, the Cantarito is "a traditional Mexican cocktail named after the handmade clay jug that it is typically served in." The drink mixes silver and gold tequila, orange, grapefruit and lime juices and is served on the rocks with a chili lime rim.
Start your meal with guacamole fresco — avocado, tomatoes, onion, cilantro and a hint of lime, made table-side. Look for the fajita nachos with grilled chicken, steak or shrimp sauteed with bell peppers, onions and tomatoes. A wide assortment of vegetarian and seafood dishes are also on offer. With 3.5-stars out of six reviews on Yelp, feedback has been mixed, but it's still early days.
Sarah L., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on June 28, wrote, "The portions were huge — enough for at least three people. They were perfectly seasoned. I was just so pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. The beer selection is good. The service is very friendly."
