Looking to chow down on some breakfast and brunch fare? A new spot has you covered. The new addition, First Watch - Columbia, is located at 6478 Dobbin Center Way next to H&R Block.
The eatery is a nationwide chain with five Maryland outlets characterized by bright spaces, single-source coffee and a seasonal menu. Right now, that means hardwood-smoked bacon with a maple syrup drizzle, toast with ricotta cheese and a variety of fruits, a smoked salmon Benedict, and a Mexican corn hash with sliced avocado, cotija cheese, chipotle cream and cilantro. All this is in addition to a standard menu of omelets, pancakes, sandwiches and more.
First Watch - Columbia has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, earning a 4.5-star rating out of ten Yelp reviews.
Jody M., among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 28, wrote, "The breakfast scene in Columbia is definitely lacking and this place is all about breakfast and brunch. I'm happy to add it to our repertoire. The coffee was good and they give you the whole pot to refill your own cup."
And Alicia H. wrote, "Service was great, food was delicious, and the atmosphere was pleasant. The only constructive criticism that I have is that, while the decor is gorgeous, the open ceiling and lack of anything to absorb sounds makes for an incredibly loud dining experience."
