A new nail salon has debuted in the neighborhood. Called Cosmo Beauty Bar, it's in the former space of Toucan Boutique at 1911 Ninth St. NW in Shaw.
Using organic and low chemical products, the salon features hundreds of colors, as well as powder dip options, for its manicures and pedicures. With more than a dozen chairs, it can also handle groups, and a free coffee or glass of rose is available for each customer.
Not limited to nails, the salon also offers eyelash and waxing services.
With a five-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp so far, Cosmo Beauty Bar is on its way to developing a local fan base.
Jillian S., who reviewed the new spot on June 28, wrote, "So happy that we now have an awesome nail bar in Shaw. Everyone is so very helpful and pleasant. The place is very clean, and you can tell that everything is sterile."
