A new vegan spot has opened for business in the neighborhood. Located at 330 Needham St. in Modesto, the newcomer is called TNK Vegan Cafe. The project of married couple TJ and Jenny Nguyen, it serves plant-based burgers, sandwiches, smoothies and more.
On the menu, look for the TNK Burger, with a meatless patty, pickled onions, sautéed mushrooms and onions, and jalapeños, served with fries or a side salad. Customers can accompany their food with drinks like the mango smoothie, Vietnamese coffee or Thai iced tea.
With a five-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp so far, TNK Vegan Cafe seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

"The diner is on the smaller side, with about 5-6 tables to eat in," added Yelper Jack B. "The burger had some special sauce reminiscent of bbq sauce and sautéed mushrooms. The club was stacked with veggie bacon and veggie ham. ... Taste was 10/10."
