Craving sandwiches? You're in luck: a new business has opened its doors in the neighborhood. The new addition to North Admiral, called Oh's Sandwiches, is located at 3217 California Ave. SW.
Banh mi, Vietnamese baguette sandwiches, are the specialty at this newcomer, which offers four varieties: grilled pork, grilled chicken, tofu and combination (with sliced ham, headcheese and pate).
To accompany the banh mi, there's a large selection of nonalcoholic drinks, including lemongrass lemonade, strawberry bubble tea, avocado smoothies, Vietnamese iced coffee and Thai iced tea.
With a five-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp so far, the fresh arrival is on its way to developing a local fan base.
Tin P., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 14, wrote, "What a delicious banh mi. We came by with a group of friends to try several different kinds of banh mi. My favorite is the grilled chicken banh mi. The chicken is fresh and marinated just right."
Yelper May L. added, “They finally had a soft opening yesterday, and the combination of banh mi and their skinny drink (lemonade with lemongrass) were fantastic! Will definitely come back for more fresh drinks and delicious food!”
Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Oh's Sandwiches is open from 10 a.m.–6 p.m. on Monday-Saturday. (It's closed on Sunday.)
