A new spot to score poke bowls and more has debuted in Bellevue. Called Poke Lover, the newcomer is located at 10660 N.E. Eighth St. in Downtown.
Bellevue is the fourth Seattle-area outpost for Poke Lover, which also has a fifth on the way to Columbia Tower.
The burgeoning mini-chain "prides [itself] on serving high-quality, marinated poke with flavors that accentuate the food," according to its website. Diners customize their own bowls from a selection of raw fish and toppings, on a base of salad greens or brown, white, or sushi rice. Seafood options include spicy tuna, salmon, scallops and more.
With a 4.5-star rating out of 11 reviews on Yelp so far, the fresh arrival is on its way to developing a local fan base.
Andrew P., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 15, wrote, "This will be my go-to poke place, since it has a decent-sized poke bowl at a great price. Though the place was unusually empty when I went at dinnertime, it far exceeded my expectations."
And Ting L. wrote, "Good food, clean environment, decent value and easy parking for dine-in or pickup. My husband and I were in the mood for a poke bowl and decided to give this place a shot. The food was good."
Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Poke Lover is open from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. daily.
