Thinking it's time for a trim? You're in luck: we've found a lineup of fresh spots to wield the clippers. Here are the newest places to check out the next time you're in search of a barber shop near you.

Sport Clips Haircuts

Sport Clips Haircuts is a barber shop and men's hair salon. The newest Sacramento outpost of the Texas-based, sports-themed barber shop and hair salon chain joins over a dozen others in the area, as we previously reported.

Men's haircuts are Sport Clips' wheelhouse, with services like the MVP package (haircut, steamed towel, relaxing shampoo and massage). The joint is walk-in only, but customers can check in on the business's website for quicker service.

Sport Clips is still getting the ball rolling, with just one review for the rookie business.

But Yelper Justyn C., who reviewed Sport Clips on June 25, thought the service hit it out of the park: "The manager Morgan here rocks! Great first impression of this brand new location. Highly recommend it, the MVP is the way to go. Prices aren't to bad, and super affordable."

Sport Clips Haircuts of Sacramento - Delta Shores South is open from 9 a.m.–8 p.m. on weekdays, 9 a.m.–6 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m.–5 p.m. on Sunday.

Bishops Cuts/Color, located at 1715 R St. in Midtown's Ice Blocks, is the first outpost in the Sacramento area for the Portland-based chain of combined hair salons and barbershops.

The barbershop offers services such as a deluxe shave with hot towels, beard trims, neckline trims, buzz cuts and short haircuts. The shop doesn't book appointments, but prospective customers can view the full menu of services and check in on the salon's website for shorter wait times.

Bishops has been cutting a dash so far, with a perfect five-star rating out of 15 reviews.

"Isha did a wonderful job, gave me a style I've never thought to have and I absolutely love it," wrote Yelper Brian R., who reviewed Bishops on June 13. "The salon is clean, they have a great selection of products and most of all it was quick and reasonably priced."

And Yelper Alvin P., who reviewed Bishops Cuts/Color on June 26, added, "The atmosphere is so friendly and comfortable, open & inviting."

Bishops Cuts/Color is open from 9 a.m.–9 p.m. on Monday-Saturday and 9 a.m.–7 p.m. on Sunday.

Jimmy Hair Cutz is a combined barber shop and beauty salon offering cuts, trims, design and more. Located at 4613 Franklin Blvd. (at 22nd Ave.), the primarily Spanish-language hair care spot is the brainchild of Jimmy and Lalis Padilla.

The shop specializes in fashionable cuts and shaven designs, especially for boys. Appointments can be made over the phone or through its website.

It's still early days for the fledgling business: it has just one review on Yelp so far, giving it five stars.

Yelper Maritza C., who was the first to review the barber on February 27, wrote in Spanish that Jimmy was very patient with her 18 month old son, and gave her some tips on how to comb his new haircut for parties.

Jimmy Hair Cutz is open from 9 a.m.–7 p.m. on Tuesday-Friday and 9 a.m.–4 p.m. on Saturday. (It's closed on Sunday and Monday.)
