If you’ve been daydreaming about your next international escape, it’s time to turn those dreams into reality.

The next question is where do you want to go?

One popular destination, at least according to Condé Nast Traveler’s roundup of 2018’s best places to visit, is Mexico’s Guadalajara. And it’s not just because the city is the birthplace of tequila.

“The past few years have seen Mexico’s second largest metropolis emerge as an art and design destination, as well as a home to lively food, cocktail, and party scenes,” the publication writes.

Thankfully, there are plenty of regular, relatively-inexpensive flights between Sacramento and Guadalajara. We pulled from travel site Skyscanner to provide you with a short list of flights and hotels handpicked with the trendy adventurer in mind.

Flights

First, if you leave on October 21 and return on October 26, Volaris can get you there and back for $295, with no layovers.

Heading out of Sacramento on November 8 and returning from Mexico on November 14 is another option. Volaris has non-stop, roundtrip tickets for $295.

If you're looking to get south of the border as soon as possible, you can leave California on August 25 and return from Guadalajara on September 1. Once again, Volaris currently has non-stop, roundtrip tickets for $315.
