Craving charcoal chicken? You're in luck: a new business has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 1327 Connecticut Ave. NW in Dupont Circle, the new addition is called Super Pollo.
The small Virginia-based chain specializes in broiled chicken, served in sandwiches, burritos and kebabs among other dishes. The Peruvian-oriented menu also includes grilled corn, plaintains, yucca and other sides.
It's still early days for the fledgling business — it's got just one review on Yelp thus far.
Magma M., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on June 29, wrote, "What a surprise to see a Super Pollo opening in Dupont! ... Peruvian chicken, and chicken kebabs with a few sides such as super creamy mashed potatoes, savory red beans."
