Henry V

The Sacramento Shakespeare Festival, which is produced by City Theatre at Sacramento City College, is taking place in the William A Carroll Amphitheatre in William Land Park (3901 Land Park Drive) every Thursday-Sunday through July 29.

This year, the production of Shakespeare's historical play Henry V puts a matriarchal spin on the classic tale of war and politics. Produced in repertory with The Count of Monte Cristo, Henry V will be performed on alternate days through the festival's run.

When: Thursday, July 12, 7:30-10 p.m.

The Count of Monte Cristo

Also from the Sacramento Shakespeare Festival is a version of The Count of Monte Cristo produced in repertory with Henry V. The Christopher Walsh-penned adaptation of the story of betrayed prisoner Edmond Dantes brings a new look to the tale of intrigue and vengeance.

The Count of Monte Cristo will be performed on alternate days of the festival through July 29.

The Gateway Show - Sacramento

In this comedy event, stand-ups tell their best jokes while sober, then leave and return to the stage to perform further while high. Featured comedians include Clay Newman, Chris Riggins, Nolan Culver and Maggie Maye.
