Craving healthy casual meals? You're in luck: a new business has opened its doors in the Southwest Waterfront. Called Toastique, it's located at 764 Maine Ave. SW.
The focus is on open-face toasted sandwiches, healthy smoothies, and assorted bowls. "Our whole idea of the menu is to have the classics, but with a twist," founder Brianna Keefe told Washington City Paper. "Something you wouldn't normally make at home."
With a five-star rating out of 15 reviews on Yelp so far, the new addition seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
Allan R., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 29, wrote, "The place deserves every star. They just opened and the avocado toast was excellent. The cherry tomatoes I had the right amount of balsamic vinegar, they used great quality thick grained bread and the radish not only looked beautiful it tasted yummy."
Yelper Erin M. added, “Amazing yet healthy food with so many different options! The staff was super helpful and friendly, I can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu!”
