A new fast-casual eatery to score flavorful poke has opened for business in Rittenhouse. The fresh arrival, called Wiki Poké, is located at 44 S. 17th St.

The spot specializes in traditional Hawaiian poke, a dish consisting of chopped sushi fish over a bed of rice.

Like other poke spots, it's based around a build-your-own conceit. First, choose from either white rice, brown rice or greens as a base; then select from a variety of proteins like tuna, tofu or the rotating catch of the day.

Toppings range from mango and green onion to purple cabbage and cucumber, with extra crunch offerings like coconut crisps and Hawaiian red salt.

Customers can also choose from an assortment of signature bowls like the Wiki bowl consisting of ahi tuna, salmon and Wiki sauce, served with all pairings and toppings. (You can view the full menu here.)

With a five-star rating out of 10 reviews on Yelp so far, the new addition has been warmly received by patrons.

Tim K., who was among the first Yelpers to review the eatery on June 28, wrote, "Finally, a great poke spot in Center City. I just devoured a Wiki bowl (their signature poke bowl). The ingredients were all incredibly fresh, flavorful and plentiful."

And Michael D. added, "The food was delicious and fresh, staff was friendly and the portion size was nice. If you're appetite isn't huge, you could share."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Wiki Poké Philly is open from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. on Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m.–8 p.m. on Sunday.
