'Faces of Change: Artistic Expression' at The Museum of Russian Art

Catch the opening of the new exhibition "Faces of Change: Artistic Expression" by Natalia Berglund at The Museum of Russian Art. The Minneapolis-based artist's solo exhibition aims to forge links between the past and present using elements from traditional Russian religious icons "with modern glamour and sensual portraiture." Featured works in this exhibition progress from traditional gilded iconic imagery to contemporary fluid ink paintings, and each represent Berglund's subjects literally and symbolically to reveal their characters and inner psyches.

Guests will enjoy "a fresh perspective on one of art’s oldest genres," original musical soundscapes by Alexander Berglund, a Minneapolis-based composer and Natalia’s husband, and a cash bar.

When: Saturday, August 25, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
