Sacramento RiverFest Seafood Festival

Miller Park, in Upper Land Park, will host the RiverFest Seafood Festival this Saturday, with seafood and barbecue from food trucks and chefs. Tickets include kid-focused fishing lessons and live music from country-western, jazz, and blues artists participating in the Battle of the Bands, below.

Sacramento Battle Of The Blues Bands

At the Seafood Festival, participants will find an afternoon of local blues musicians battling to be crowned the "King of the Blues" by the audience. Bands can still enter the competition for no fee.

When: Saturday, August 18, 12-6 p.m.

Country Beer & Wine Roundup Fundraiser

Over in Roseville, on Saturday evening the Randy Peters Catering and Event Center is donating its space and catering services for a fundraiser to benefit the Christian nonprofit Feed My Starving Children, which packages and distributes food to those in developing nations.

Tickets include food, beer, wine and a live performance by country band Big Trouble. Fox40's Paul Robins will emcee.

When: Saturday, August 18, 6-9:30 p.m.
