Reunion & OTV Movie Night: Set it Off

Also this Tuesday: an evening dedicated to amplifying LGBTQ+ stories. Join Reunion Chicago and the intersectional television platform Open Television (OTV) for a screening of "Set It Off." The 1996 crime action film tells the story of four close friends in Los Angeles who decide to plan and execute a bank robbery. "Set It Off" has long been considered a queer film, particularly for its portrayal of the unapologetically queer Cleo, played by Queen Latifah, and her memorable onscreen relationship with her girlfriend Ursula.
Viewers, ages 18 and over, will enjoy cocktails or mocktails, freshly popped popcorn and the show.
When: Tuesday, August 28, 7-10 p.m.
