The crowdfunded film aims to offer an unprecedented look inside the disabled community by handing the mic to disabled people, "some of Hollywood’s most incensed and ignored critics." The film's diverse subjects — ranging in age, disability and background — help shine on a light on the ways Hollywood manipulates disabled identities to elicit viewers' emotions.

Neuse River Brew Down - Strong(wo)man Event

Compete against — or cheer on — some of the city's strongest men and women in Neuse River Crossfit's first Neuse River Brew Down. The Strong(wo)man competition will put crossfitters to the test a series of last-competitor-standing weightlifting challenges. Competitors and their fans will also enjoy fresh brews from sponsor Neuse River Brewing Company, access to food trucks and product vendors, and help raise money for the Logan Aldridge Foundation for adaptive athletes.
When: Saturday, September 1, 7 a.m.-5 p.m.

Crawl Raleigh: Labor Day Edition
