Happy hour benefiting Broad Street Ministry

This Tuesday evening, join Leadership Philadelphia's 2018 Keepers Class to raise funds in support of Broad Street Ministry. The radical hospitality organization aims to "transform our city, our institution, and ourselves when we embrace the individual needs of our most vulnerable sisters and brothers." Tickets to Tuesday night's happy hour will come with light fare and access to drink specials, and will help the Keepers Class' efforts to raise $40,000 for local causes this year.

PhilaSoup kick-off

On Wednesday, educators and their supporters are gathering at the MAAS Building's garden for bites, beverages and a silent auction to help raise money for PhilaSoup. The local nonprofit funds and support innovative classroom projects in Philly schools.

Emgage PA Gala Dinner

Come Saturday evening, Emgage PA is hosting a gala aimed at raising awareness and support for increasing engagement among Muslim Americans in the political process. On top of food, networking and politics, the all-ages gala will feature special guests Basheer Jones, a Muslim elected official from the City of Cleveland, and Dean Obeidallah, who'll offer some raucous political humor.

Dog Day of Summer

Celebrate Manayunk's growing canine population at Dog Day of Summer this Sunday afternoon. The festival will bring pet-friendly vendors, pet adoptions, pet-friendly activities, food vendors, happy hour specials and more to the Venice Island Performing Arts & Recreation Center. A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the Philadelphia Chapter of The National Canine Cancer Foundation.
