District Dumplings is a dim sum spot in the Arlington Ridge Shopping Center. It's the second outlet for District Dumplings, and it offers the same menu items as the original location in Fairfax.

Dumplings come in one of three styles: the potsticker, the open-faced shumai, and the brothy xiao long bao. Fillings include basil chicken, pork and bell pepper with jalapeño and ginger, and tofu, corn and mushrooms. Tea, juices, beer and wine round out the offerings.

District Dumplings' current Yelp rating of 3.5 stars out of 14 reviews indicates the newcomer is finding its way, but it's still early days.

Deborah K. noted, "The dumplings came out in about 10 minutes. They were very delicious and I enjoyed them."

Yelper Erin R. wrote, "An order gets you 10, and you can mix and match, which is exactly what I did. I tried all the meat options, and I think I liked the Peking duck, chicken basil, and chicken and shrimp best. I say think because they weren't labeled."

District Dumplings is open from 11:30 a.m.–9:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday and 11:30 a.m.–10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Atrium Cafe is a casual, counter-order spot for Asian-inflected lunch and dinner. Rice bowls can be made with bulgogi beef, Korean-style chicken or spicy pork, served over rice or noodles.

Poke bowls come with one of five proteins, including tofu, and are served with a choice of six sauces. The menu also includes American-style breakfasts, sandwiches from Reuben to Italian cold cut, and coffee and tea. Thirsty? There's a cooler full of beer and a large selection of wine by the bottle.

Atrium Cafe currently holds 4.5 stars out of 10 reviews on Yelp, indicating good reviews.

Yelper Alex M., who reviewed it on June 26, wrote, "From the sandwiches to the poke bowl, everything tasted fresh and delicious, and portion sizes were solid for the price. The decor/vibe is modern and comfortable, so it's both somewhere you can go to grab a quick bite or hang out and enjoy a meal with friends."

Yelper Christina L. wrote, "There is a ton of seating and you can see them make all the poke bowls and sandwiches, the way the ordering is set up. They have a really wide selection of beers, wine and drinks, and they are reasonably priced."

Atrium Cafe is open from 7 a.m.–9 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m.–5 p.m. on weekends.

Asiatique

Asiatique is a sushi bar and Cajun/Creole spot. The menu ranges from Japanese mainstays (think gyoza, tempura, sushi and udon soups) to Louisiana seafood staples like crawfish, catfish and shrimp that are served with a choice of Old Bay-based seasonings. Sometimes the menus fuse, such as with the spicy crawfish and sweet potato sushi rolls.

Asiatique currently holds four stars out of 17 reviews on Yelp, indicating good reviews.

Yelper Amber G., who visited on July 16, wrote, "Super-casual Cajun seafood place that serves your seafood in a plastic bag, chock full of spices and flavor. Service was prompt and friendly. Asiatique is new, but we couldn't really tell that by the service."

Marc M. noted, "The soft-shell crab was ordered with Cajun fries. The crab was pretty good, although the batter was flavorless. The Cajun fries were the stars of the evening with their super crispy exterior and strong flavor."

Asiatique is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.–11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and noon–9:30 p.m. on Sunday.
