Japanese bubble tea brand Pearl Lady has recently opened its first location in North America at 201 E. Middle Lane in the Rockville Town Center.

The shop offers multiple bubble and fruit tea drinks such as 22-ounce strawberry and mango frappes, coffee matcha and Nature's Melody — a part of the Amber Boba Series — that includes green tea with sea salt cream. Visit the spot's website for a complete menu and list of offerings.

Naked Lunch is a new counter-service vegetarian spot offering customizable bowls, juices and smoothies. It's located at 10 Upper Rock Circle inside the new MOM's Organic Market.

Make your own bowl by choosing a base, five toppings and a dressing, or opt for one of the dozen menu options already on offer. Look for notable choices like the Confetti Bowl with brown rice, black beans, peppers and cilantro, garnished with lime jalapeño dressing; the Sushi Bowl with brown rice, tofu, seaweed and soy sauce; or the Cauliflower Tacos with chickpea filling, kale, salsa verde and your choice of corn or flour tortillas.

A Town Center newcomer, Hot Pot Legend has opened its doors at 595 Hungerford Drive. The chain, which has 80 locations in China, features a customer-friendly menu in which diners mark their selections before turning it over to the server.

For the hot pot, choose a soup base (tomato, pork, Sichuan or mushroom), proteins like pork belly or shrimp, noodles or rice, and toppings like squid balls, cucumber, seaweed knots or quail egg. Skewers of chicken, beef or lamb are also on offer.
