Arts and crafts retailer Michaels recently opened a new store at 1700 W. Armory Way in Interbay. The chain's new location is stocked with home decor, seasonal items, custom framing, scrapbooking supplies, fabrics and more. Themed children's parties and classes for adults are also on offer. Yoyo Station

Now open at 202 Broadway East in Capitol Hill is Yoyo Station, a spot to score bubble tea and more. Set in an airy, modern space with white decor and gold accents, this new place offers a variety of matcha, milk and bubble teas. Also on offer are cream foam drinks, fruit tea and fresh juice. Verve Bowls

Verve Bowls is serving up smoothies and acai bowls at 734 N.E. 34th St. in Fremont. The business, which was started by two Seattle residents and brothers, says it emphasizes raw, local ingredients. This is its fourth shop, with three in Seattle and one in Redmond. 

Look for menu options like the Berry Yum açaí bowl with strawberries, blueberries, bananas and almond milk; the My Oh My pitaya bowl with mango, pineapple and almond milk, topped with granola; and the Recovery smoothie with banana, peanut butter and protein powder. Dao Tai House

A Capitol Hill newcomer, Dao Tai House is a Chinese spot that's located at 1621 12th Ave., Suite 102. 

Expect offerings like candied yams, taro beef curry and lobster tails with green onions in ginger. Premium menu options that must be ordered two days in advance include Sichuan boiled fish, salt and pepper crab and dry-braised extra-large prawns.
