First up is Sons of Boston, a new bar and eatery located along the Freedom Trail.

Housed in the former Tap Trailhouse space at 19 Union St., the drinks menu features cocktails like the house punch made with spiced rum, the pineapple mango margarita and the Wayfarers On!, a concoction consisting of cucumber vodka, lemon, cucumber and mint.

There are also both craft ales and American lager beers on tap, plus wine and sangria. Hungry? A full menu of New American cuisine is available as well.

It's still early days for the fledgling business — it's got just three reviews on Yelp thus far.

Bill C., who reviewed the new spot on July 26, wrote, "Fun spot right in the middle of everything in Boston. Staff and bartenders are fantastic and friendly. Drinks are good, especially the signature cocktails."

Head on over to check it out: Sons of Boston is open from 5 p.m.–2 a.m. daily.

Burro Bar

Younger sibling to Somerville's the Painted Burro, Burro Bar is a new cocktail bar and Mexican eatery.

Agave-based cocktails dominate the drinks list. The margaritas come in many varieties, from the classic white tequila, triple sec and lime combination to versions made from infused tequilas, mezcal or additional fruit flavors. Other cocktails include the bourbon-based Maverick, with almond orgeat, cynar and walnut bitters, and the Negronin Tequilana, made with tequila, campari and sweet vermouth.

Beer and wine are also available, as are classic dishes from across Mexico, including cuisine from Oaxaca, Baja California, Veracruz and Yucatan.

Burro Bar is off to a strong start with four stars out of 26 reviews on Yelp.

Yelper Bill C.. wrote, "Margaritas are excellent. They don't use that sugary pre-made mix, plus you can choose from dozens of good tequilas, including a bunch of reposados and añejos. Good stuff. The food is all great."

Yelper Hope N., added, "The service was great, the salsa was fresh and flavorful, the queso fundido was perfectly melty, and the chicken enchiladas were amazing. Highly recommend."

Burro Bar South End is open from 4 p.m.–midnight on Monday, 4 p.m.–1 a.m. on Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m.–1 a.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m.–midnight on Sunday.

The Ghost Walks

57 Stuart St., Theater District

New to the Theater District, The Ghost Walks' name refers to the opening scene of Shakespeare's "Hamlet" and its drinks are suitably theatrical, like the bourbon-based Box Office, which comes in a movie theater-style popcorn box, and the Paparazzi (tequila and tropical flavors) served in the body of a camera lens.

It also serves food, with offerings that range from cheese and charcuterie boards to a bone-in ribeye with a truffled red wine demi-glace. (Check out the menu here.)

The Ghost Walks' current rating of four stars out of 30 reviews on Yelp indicates the newcomer is receiving positive attention.

Yelper Adrienne Z. wrote, "While the drinks are pretty gimmicky, it's still fun and a good scene. Drinks are not cheap, but they're good if not a little sweet. They do have a champagne vending machine if that's your style."

And Mia T. wrote, "Needed a Saturday night spot to start the night and this place was worth it! Cocktails are creative and delicious! ... Our bartender was super awesome and she knew how to make a drink, aka a true mixologist."

The Ghost Walks is open from 5 p.m.–1 a.m. daily.
