There's a brand-new distillery and cocktail bar in town. Located at 3622 Tejon St. in Highland, the fresh arrival is called Mythology Distillery.
The distillery makes its own craft spirits, including an American whiskey, rye vodka, mountain gin and rum, which it uses in its cocktails.
Drinks include the Casper Martini (Mythology gin, mezcal, Cocchi Americano and orange bitters), the Jabber-Ruski (Mythology rye vodka, pamplemousse, agave, lime, rhubarb bitters, chili tincture and ruby port float) and the Oso Oloroso (Mythology whiskey, Foro Amaro, oloroso sherry and meyer lemon bitters). It also serves local beer and wine, plus small plates of food and empanadas.
With a five-star rating out of two reviews on Yelp so far, Mythology Distillery has already made a good impression.
Yelper Alex K., who was the first to review it on August 26, wrote, “Amazing addition to Highlands. This place has delicious, interesting handcrafted cocktails at reasonable prices. If you're looking for a lively, local spot to hang that's not pretentious in the least, Mythology is [the] place to go."
