Looking to try the top steakhouses around?
Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the best high-end steakhouses in Baltimore, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of where to meet your needs.
1. The Capital Grille

Topping the list is The Capital Grille. The nationwide chain serves steak, seafood and wine in an upscale setting with dark woods and white tablecloths. Located at 500 E. Pratt St. in the Inner Harbor, The Capital Grille is the highest rated high-end steakhouse in Baltimore, boasting 4.5 stars out of 431 reviews on Yelp.
Start off with steak tartare and shrimp cocktail before moving on to main dishes such as seared tenderloin with butter-poached lobster tails or a 24-ounce dry-aged porterhouse. The wine list features more than 350 options.
Yelper Cynthia J. wrote, "We love Capital Grille Baltimore! As a national chain this location has a local feel. Wonderful service whether it's a business lunch or date night."
2. Roy's Restaurant

Next up is the Inner Harbor's Roy's Restaurant. Situated at 720B Aliceanna St., it's the only Mid-Atlantic outpost of this national chain.
The Hawaii-inflected menu includes seafood like a roasted macadamia nut-crusted mahi mahi and Roy's Trio of hibachi-grilled salmon, Alaskan black cod and blackened ahi tuna with a spicy soy mustard butter sauce. Steaks include a filet mignon and a New York strip steak served with lobster mac and cheese. Cocktails favor rum and fruit juices. With four stars out of 830 reviews on Yelp, it has proven to be a local favorite for those looking to indulge.
3. Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse

Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse, located at 600 E. Pratt St., is another top choice. Also in the Inner Harbor, the Brazilian chain specializes in grilled meats sliced at your table on demand.
It's all you can eat and, in addition to the various cuts of steak, chicken, lamb and pork, you'll find seafood and sides like traditional Brazilian black bean stew (feijoada) and caramelized bananas. There's also a salad bar with soups and sides. Yelpers give the fancy steakhouse and Brazilian spot four stars out of 750 reviews.
4. Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar

Next, Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar is another pricey go-to in the Inner Harbor and boasts four stars out of 275 Yelp reviews. The chain's signature steaks like bone-in rib-eye and petite filet mignon can be ordered topped with béarnaise, smoked chili or herbed horseradish sauce.
Or, opt for locally sourced striped bass, lamb chops with peach chutney, or a summer salad of spinach, arugula, berries, sugar-glazed walnuts, basil, goat cheese and raspberry vinaigrette. The bar has a separate menu of small bites, plus many cocktails and wines. Head over to 720 Aliceanna St. to see for yourself.
5. The Prime Rib

Finally, over in Mount Vernon, check out The Prime Rib, which has earned four stars out of 211 reviews on Yelp. Yes, it has multiple locations, but they're all in the DMV and it all started here in Baltimore.
Enjoy live piano music as you peruse a menu of cold seafood appetizers and USDA steaks along with rack of lamb, pork chop and chicken piccata entrees. End the meal with a slice of pie, a scoop of sorbet or perhaps a sweet wine from the extensive wine list. Treat yourself by heading over to 1101 N. Calvert St.
