Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top cheesesteak sources in Philadelphia, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of where to satisfy your cravings.
1. Dalessandro's Steaks and Hoagies
Topping the list is Dalessandro's Steaks and Hoagies, a local staple that was established in 1960. Located at 600 Wendover St. in Roxborough, it's the most popular cheesesteak spot in Philadelphia, boasting 4.5 stars out of 1,563 reviews on Yelp.
It serves both ribeye and chicken cheesesteak sandwiches. The finely chopped meat is piled high in a soft roll with grilled onions and cheese. Rittenhouse's Cleavers, located at 108 S. 18th St., is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the sports bar 4.5 stars out of 721 reviews.
