If pizza is what you're after, look no further than HomeSlyce. The local chain's newest addition is in the former PJ's Pub location at 3333 N. Charles St. in Charles Village, across from Johns Hopkins University.

Creative combinations include the Pop-Pie, with garlic sauce, baby spinach, onions, Gorgonzola and goat cheese, and the 1741 Reci-Pie made from pesto sauce, mozzarella cheese, pineapples, tomatoes and homemade sausage. There are also calzones, sandwiches, and soups and salads on the menu, plus a full bar.

It's still early days for the new pizzeria — it's got just one review on Yelp thus far.

Denice I., who reviewed HomeSlyce on July 25, wrote, "The bartender and staff were great. We got the Thursday night two-topping special. We chose a yummy beef pepperoni and portobello — very tasty!  Our last taste was the Nutella calzone — warm yummy goodness!"

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: HomeSlyce JHU is open from 11 a.m.–11 p.m. on Monday-Wednesday, 11 a.m.–midnight on Thursday, and 11 a.m.–1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. (It's closed on Sunday.)
