Can't decide between sushi and Korean barbecue? With this new Elk Grove restaurant, you won't have to. Called Jang Goon Sushi & Korean BBQ, the fresh addition is located at 9671 E. Stockton Blvd. in Elk Grove.

At the Korean-Japanese spot, diners will find an extensive menu incorporating both Korean classics like grilled beef short ribs and stir fried glass noodles with Japanese favorites like chirashi (sashimi over a bowl of rice), ramen and American-style sushi rolls.

The new hybrid restaurant is on its way to earning a local fan base, with a 4.5-star rating out of 34 reviews on Yelp.

"Food quality was great, nice and fresh. The beef ribs were my favorite entree. Daikon and kimchi were also delicious. Staff was friendly and welcoming," wrote Saada N., who reviewed the new spot on August 16.

"We ordered spicy ramen (great rich flavor), a bento style box and of course, a Crazy Horse roll. I love it when places are more focused on the quality rather than smothering rolls in sauces," Emily W. noted.
