If you're in the mood for a decadent treat in Bay Ridge, a recent opening is need-to-know. The new arrival, called Cheesecake Diva, is located at 7309 Third Ave. In addition to its house-baked cheesecakes and egg puffs, it also serves coffee from StrongTree Coffee Roasters, as we recently reported.
The bakery's signature personal-sized cheesecakes come in unusual flavors like ginger, matcha, passion fruit, black sesame, pineapple and kiwi. If something light and crunchy is more your speed, the shop offers Hong Kong-style egg puff waffles in flavors like chocolate and matcha, served with ice cream.
In keeping with the egg puffs, the menu offers bubble tea in flavors like matcha, taro, mango and coconut. Coffee fans will find fair-trade, single-origin brews prepared in multiple styles, including Japanese siphon brewing.
Cheesecake Diva has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of 20 reviews on Yelp.
"Just the right NY cheesecake texture for me (some places make them ... creamier? This place isn't but not in a bad way) and not overly sweet," Yelper Lolin L. wrote. "The server behind the counter was very nice as well."
"I have had all kinds of cheesecake, but nothing like having it topped with Passion fruit, seeds and all!" Yelper Devon O. added. "Fluffy, not too sweet, just enough that by the time the passion fruit hits you, it all works perfectly."
