Hungry? A new neighborhood Vietnamese spot has you covered. The fresh arrival, called Pho La Cay, is located at 8865 Stanford Blvd., Suite 103, in Columbia.
Start off with appetizers like spring rolls, summer rolls, beef wrapped in grape leaves and spicy papaya salad. For your main course, expect beef, chicken, tripe and vegetarian styles of phở, plus a number of other noodle soup options.
Other offerings include stir-fried dishes, vermicelli bowls, grilled meats and banh mi sandwiches. Wash it all down with Vietnamese iced coffee, made with condensed milk, young coconut juice or a smoothie with tapioca pearls.
Pho La Cay has a 4.5-star rating out of two reviews on Yelp so far.
Linhsay W., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on Aug. 18, wrote, "I got the Hu Tieu La Cay and Mi La Cay (broth on the side). Both are fantastic! Not only is the food off the hook, but so is the customer service. I'd come back to try other dishes!"
And John H. added, "I ordered the small phở and it was quite tasty. The broth was clean and flavorful with a generous portion of meat and noodles. The bun bo hue was huge and had a deeply flavored broth. They have a huge selection from rice to other soups and I encourage everyone to give them a try."
Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Pho La Cay is open from 10 a.m.–8:30 p.m. from Monday-Thursday and Sunday and 10 a.m.–9:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
