A new spot to score ice cream and popsicles has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 1410 S. Pollock St. in Selma, the new arrival is called Paleteria Deya Ice Cream.

This is a family-owned business that has two stores. While there isn't much information out about this new location yet, its outpost in Greenville offers a variety of traditional Mexican treats, from fruit with chili powder to unique ice cream flavors, freshly made popsicles and a few dairy-free options, per the East Carolinian.

It's still early days for the fledgling business — it's got just one review on Yelp thus far.

Angela B. wrote, "We love our ice cream and this place beats them all for their variety of flavors. They take time in making the ice cream themselves. Wonderful place!"

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Paleteria Deya Ice Cream is open from noon–7:30 p.m. from Tuesday-Thursday and 11 a.m.–7:30 p.m. from Friday-Sunday. (It's closed on Monday.)
