Shaved ice fans, take heed: there's a new spot in town to get your fix. Called Pelican's SnoBalls, the fresh arrival is located at 7833 South Blvd. in south Charlotte.
The chain, with locations across the country, was established more than 15 years ago and is serving up 100-plus flavors, per its website. Signature flavors include the Rainbow (cherry, pineapple and blue raspberry), Gone Fishin' (lemon lime, polar punch and gummy worms) and Butterfly Kiss (birthday cake, cotton candy and butterfly gummies).
With a 3.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, the fresh arrival is getting solid feedback from clientele.
Robert K., who reviewed the new spot on July 11, wrote, "Fat free, gluten free, no cholesterol! Everything is $5 or less and there are 100 flavors, so near endless combinations. Like sour flavors! They've got it. Enjoy the creams like chocolate or Key lime pie? Done and done."
Yelper Melisa W. added, “They had over 100 flavors, kid-sized cups and kid flavors that are already made up. ... They also have lots of seating and chalk for the kids to draw with and cornhole."
