If savory noodles, rich slices of pork and unctuous soft-boiled eggs are what you're after, look no further than this new arrival. Located at 7485 Rush River Drive, Suite 740, in the Pocket, the newcomer is called Ramen House Tenjin. It joins Midtown's sister restaurants, Ramen House Ryujin and Raijin.

The Pocket's first ramen joint has white, black and red tonkotsu (pork bone-based) and "classic" shoyu, shio and miso (chicken based) broths, all of which come topped with chashu pork, a soft-boiled egg and green onions as well as individual toppings. Diners can ask for additional toppings for a fee.

Other dishes include takoyaki (fried octopus in dough balls), braised pork belly, and non-ramen entrees like okonomiyaki (cabbage pancake), yakisoba (stir-fried noodles), gyuudon (beef over rice) and katsudon (fried pork cutlet over rice).

Ramen House Tenjin has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of 15 reviews on Yelp.

"The ramen was delicious! It tasted exactly like Ryujin," wrote Allison L. of the white tonkotsu ramen with added corn. "I think the workers are still figuring everything out, but they were all friendly and you could tell they were trying their best."

"Compared to other ramen-focused places, this place is roomier," Yelper Christopher L. said, adding of the chicken-based shoyu broth, "The broth definitely grew on me. ... The soft boiled egg was good, done just right."

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Ramen House Tenjin is open from 11:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.–10 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday and 11:30 a.m.–10 p.m. on weekends. (It's closed on Tuesday.)
