9th Annual Sacramento Banana Festival (Jazz-A-Peel )

The Banana Festival is a two-day celebration of the diverse cultures that use the banana as a staple food. It features live entertainment, including dance, interactive hula hoop and hip hop stations; musical performances; a fashion show; and healthy cooking demos and culinary art for kids and families.

There will also be arts and culture displays, a crafts bazaar and a vendor fair, as well as kid-friendly activities like face-painting, storytelling, a banana split-eating contest, bounce houses, carnival rides and more.

CapRadio's Second Saturday Artist Reception with Stan Padilla

Capital Public Radio is hosting painter Stan Padilla at the station for an afternoon of art, music and discussion. Padilla has several works publicly displayed across the Sacramento region, most recently a three-story mural in the Golden One Arena titled "Flight."

Hey, Listen! host Nick Brunner will provide music, and C.G. Di Arie Winery and SacTown Union Brewing will provide wine and beer.

This Midtown August 2018: Feat. Phantoms DJ Set

This all-ages free live music festival and block party will feature performances by Phantoms DJ Set, Joyzu, Ashley Ames, Sam I Jam, and Amicus & Leap Year, as well as a beer garden, food vendors and local artists.

Audio Sunset Festival

National Entity presents the inaugural Audio Sunset Festival, featuring electronic music artists like Keys N Krates, Pegboard Nerds, Bailo, Champagne Drip, Donald Glaude, Myron Eugene and more. The seven-hour outdoor show will have food vendors and a bar.
