Craving falafel? Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top places to dine on falafel in Seattle, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of restaurants.

1. Aladdin Falafel Corner

Topping the list is Aladdin Falafel Corner. Located at 4541 University Way NE in the University District, the Middle Eastern and Greek spot is the highest rated restaurant for falafel in Seattle, boasting 4.5 stars out of 393 reviews on Yelp.

The casual eatery's falafel is a mixture of ground garbanzo beans, parsley, onion, garlic and spices that are deep fried. Get it served hot on pita bread or in a salad with fresh lettuce, onion, tomatoes and feta. Gyros, shawarma, stuffed grape leaves and hummus are also on offer. 

2. Falafel Salam

Next up is West Seattle Junction's Falafel Salam, situated at 4746 California Ave. SW, which has earned 4.5 stars out of 114 reviews on Yelp. The Middle Eastern eatery also operates a food truck and a booth at farmers markets. 

It was established in 2009 at the Fremont Sunday Market with chef Shimi Kahn at the helm. At the brick-and-mortar location, try out the vegan house falafel with organic garbanzo, hummus, Arab salad, Tahini sauce and pickled mango sauce, or the purple falafel with garbanzo, hummus, purple slaw, tzatziki, garlic aioli and sheep-milk feta. 3. Aviv Hummus Bar

Capitol Hill's Aviv Hummus Bar, located at 107 15th Ave. East, is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the eatery 4.5 stars out of 102 reviews.

Here, the falafel is fried to order and comes stuffed in a pita or on a plate with cucumber, tomato, cabbage, pickles and tahina. Or try the falafel with the house hummus, served with a pita and pickles. Check out the full menu here.

Yelper Vince S., who reviewed the restaurant on Aug. 10, wrote, "This may be the best hummus and falafel I've ever had. Sitting at the bar and watching the food being prepared was fantastic. The space is clean, fresh and inviting, and the food was simply phenomenal."

4. Al Bacha Restaurant

Also in Capitol Hill, there's Al Bacha Restaurant, which has four stars out of 49 reviews on Yelp. You can find the quick-service restaurant at 1833 Broadway (between Howell Street and Denny Way).

This place serves up falafel in a salad; on a plate with hummus, salad, tahini and pita; or in one of two vegetarian-friendly sandwiches. The menu also features lamb and chicken plates, shawarma, gyros and lentil soup.

"My favorite place for falafel in Seattle," wrote Yelper B. M. "Very friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, reasonable prices and, of course, amazing food! (The spices are good in particular.) I can't get enough of this place and eat it for lunch all the time!"
